Day Fifteen...
If you have just begun to read the posts on this site you may want to back up a few days. Here's hoping you do want to learn more after viewing the following photos!
Below are some of my favorite photographs I've taken while working with Safe Passage. They also encompass the many ways that this organization aides these children and families. There are so many I apologize if I do not touch upon everything. Which is my point. Ten years later, they need our support more than ever.

Day Fourteen...
Today I must mention my father as it is Father's Day. He's one of my most loyal (and truthful) fans. I know he has been reading my blog posts every day since I started. My Dad is also my copy and content editor as he is quick to let me know of my spelling and grammatical errors as well as if he thinks I've left just an average post vs. a brilliant one. I truly do appreciate this as well as his loyalty.
While I'm at it, Dad, thanks for understanding me, even when I don't understand myself. And for laughing at and with me when I do stupid things like rip the front end of my car off on the corner of your garage. And thanks for letting me scream my lungs out (because it was a really stressful and crappy time in my life) and ignoring me as you wired that car together so I could drive to the body shop.
And thanks, Dad, for telling me often that what I need to be really be doing most is taking pictures because that is what I am good at. Even when I don't think I'm good at all.
Thanks, Dad. I love you. Happy Father's Day!

Day Thirteen...
Yes, I am quite aware that I did not post yesterday. I feel asleep at 9PM and slept for twelve hours. I'm not even going to apologize that my body needed rest. I'm already pretty proud of myself for making it this far so I'm not stopping because I missed one day.
The question really is: Have your purchased tickets for our fundraiser this coming Friday, or if not have you looked at other ways in which to help support Safe Passage?

Day Eleven...
If you're just tuning in, and it's Day Eleven of my challenge, if you don't go all the way back to Day One at least go back a few postings. I'm in the middle of explaining Safe Passage, a non-profit organization that is very much important to me.
Today I am going to give a glimpse of sights similar to what Hanley Denning saw when she first went into inner city Guatemala ten years ago. It isn't easy to digest, but it is very necessary in telling the entire story. I promise, tomorrow will be easier.

Day Ten...
Tonight I am going to share with you some photos of the faces of Safe Passage. These are faces that met Hanley as she toured inner city Guatemala and the garbage dump for the first time. These faces would greet you if you visited Safe Passage in Guatemala or if you are unable to go to Guatemala they greet you here.
I took these photos on my last visit. I wanted to show these faces, alone, with no backdrop to stereotype. These faces could be ones you meet every day on the street, they could be you or me, or a model in a GAP advertisement. These faces deserve every opportunity, human right and chance to succeed as anyone else. I'm looking forward to witnessing them do so!

Hi, Beth! I finally had the chance to give your photo blog the attention it deserves, and when I saw these incredible Safe Passage photos, I HAD to post. These are awesome, much like the rest of your work!! Let's talk soon -- it was great to meet you and Jenelle at the Marta Gomez celebration the other week. :)
